Science in Room 10.

As part of our forensic science work, we looked at ways of deciding what different white powders were.  The class were given nine powders to sort and classify.  They ranged from cornflour, Epsom salts, laundry detergent to sugar and salt.
Each group was encouraged to use their senses (somewhat carefully with tasting) to describe and label. It was an interesting exercise to see who was familiar with pantry indredients.

Vincent is looking very closely the white powders his group have to analyse and name.

Amber checking out her unknown powder.

Kayla and Hannah testing to see if their powder reacted with vinegar.
