Play Dough Prisms

As part of geometry, the students needed to understand how cross sections worked and how they applied to the con pet of prisms. There was a lot of enthusiasm to play with the dough when making the 3D shapes. Being able to cut the shape enabled the learners to see instanly if the faces they found were the same as the two ends of the  prism.  They were then able to state if the shapes, were indeed prisms.
